Abraham Trai breaks into the music world with debut single ‘The One’

Emily Lindsell

‘The One’ perfectly portrays the feeling of loss and what it feels like for someone you love to leave your life. Abraham’s intense emotions can be felt through his lyrics as he sings about an experience that most can relate to, with a gentle piano accompanying his words that only adds to the song’s sad atmosphere.

You can clearly hear Abraham’s influences through his music, as he hopes to follow in similar footsteps to the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Sam Smith, and Adele. He follows a similar theme to their tracks, as he takes from their rawness and honesty in their songwriting, and pours his own heart out into his releases.

This track is the perfect song to release as a debut single, as it showcases Abraham’s strong vocals whilst also displaying his talent for songwriting – something he does every single day. It’s unusual for an emerging artist to possess all the skills Abraham has, with him being a committed singer-songwriter who has the ability to capture heavy emotions and make an audience feel his pain alongside him, making the artist a unique act ready to break into today’s music scene!

Abraham wanted to touch people’s hearts with his debut track, as he says his aim is to let his listeners know that they’re never alone in their feelings of sadness and loneliness. Now more than ever it’s important for this type of music to be heard, as throughout a global pandemic people’s feelings of sadness and loneliness are at an all time peak – and they need to hear the reassurance that they’re not alone in their battle through life.
